Fant is a foldable seat designed to occupy as little space as possible in a backpack. The project aims to provide a compact and easy-to-carry seating solution for outdoor use. When folded, the seat is reduced to a minimal volume, allowing it to be integrated into hiking or travel equipment.

Fant uses a folding mechanism inspired by a collapsible shovel to significantly reduce its overall volume. The seat is also inspired by the botte-cul, a traditional milking stool, from which it adopts the principle of point support. A spike anchors the seat into the ground, creating the necessary stability for sitting.

Fant is designed for outdoor activities such as hiking, bivouacking or wild camping. It allows users to quickly create a stable seating point during breaks in natural environments, offering a simple solution for short pauses while moving through the landscape.
